Six cottages. Planning permission was obtained in December 2007 to convert the
existing units into four one-bedroom and two, two-bedroom cottages. Click here to see the floorplan. The conversion work started in Spring 2008 and the first three refurbished
cottages will be ready for occupation by October 2008. There is at present one
vacancy. The second phase of the refurbishment to provide two more one-bedroom
cottages and one further two-bedroom cottage will be ready for occupation by March
2009 at which time there will be three more vacancies. |

Special Features: |
There is a large communal Hall. This is used extensively for village activities
and also by our residents for social events and meetings. The cottages are surrounded
by landscaped gardens. There is an almoner/warden on site. |

Eligibility Criteria: |
Must be residents of Shotesham, or the surrounding villages and of limited financial
means. |
The almshouse is managed by the Mercers’ Company as trustee of the Earl of Northampton’s
Charity.
