Aim
 
The Company seeks to support disadvantaged and marginalised individuals, particularly those living in Greater London and known areas of deprivation in the South East of England.
 
Please do not apply if your work will take place in other parts of the country.
 
The Company does this by awarding grants to organisations that work in the following fields:

Service Delivery
In the current economic climate the Company wants to support organisations providing key services, to help them to maintain their service delivery and we shall consider requests for contributions to salary and other project costs. (Please click here for restrictions on capital funding which can be found under the general exclusions section of our Grant Making page.)

 
Social and Medical Welfare
  • To address situations which can leave people at risk of social exclusion because of addiction, family breakdown, homelessness or offending behaviour
  • To provide help for those with special needs, especially those organisations dealing with the effects of autism (see below)
  • To support carers and families of those with special needs
            Autism
We are interested in supporting work in the autism field in LONDON AND AREAS OF DEPRIVATION IN THE SOUTH-EAST.
 
Our particular focus is on:
  • Family support and specialist training
  • Provision of respite care
  • Work with those from 16 years upwards, particularly the transition period into adult services

NB Please note the geographical restrictions.   

 
Community and General Welfare
 
To support work within local community centres and community outreach work, particularly work that is multicultural and/or situated in areas of social disadvantage.
 
 
Youth Work                                                                                     

  • To promote the effective and purposeful development of young people outside school, particularly through local youth clubs.
 
Care for the Elderly                                                                                             
  • To provide care and support for older people
  • To develop improved services to older people, particularly the frail elderly
 
Exclusions
 
Generally the Company does not support applications for:
  • Medical Charities and medical research
  • Uniformed groups unless there is a Company link
  • Animal welfare charities
  • Sponsorship or marketing appeals and fundraising events
  • Capital building projects by public bodies (e.g. the NHS) unless there is a Company link
  • Charities that are themselves principally grant makers
  • Mother tongue classes (non-English)
  • Endowment appeals
  • Village hall
  • Pure campaigning work
