We worked with London Funders to support the inaugural Propel Fund in Autumn 2022. Propel* supports projects which address systemic issues to achieve longer-term sustainable change. Propel also aims to develop more equitable funding practices and encourage collaboration in London.
Via Propel we awarded grants to seven organisations. These organisations are exploring systemic issues for marginalised young people with mental health needs whist providing support in their communities.
- Go Forward Youth
- The Change Foundation
- Spectra CIC
- African Community School (ACS)
- Newham All Star Sports Academy (NASSA)
- South London Counselling and Support Services (SLCSS)
- Body & Soul
These seven organisations will work with the Mercers’ Company’s Mental Health & Wellbeing Learning Partner, St. Mary’s University and Maudsley Learning Trust to ensure knowledge sharing and explore areas for collaboration.
This work is supported under our Young People & Education Programme (Mental Health & Wellbeing) and funded by The Charity of Sir Richard Whittington and The Mercers’ Charitable Foundation.
*Propel is a ground-breaking collaboration powered by London Funders and supported by other funders including Bloomberg, City Bridge Trust, Mayor of London, and the National Lottery Community Fund and main advice funders, such as Trust for London, co-ordinated by London Legal Support Trust.
