Residents of Mercers’ House in Islington, one of our sheltered housing accommodations, helped raise £1,000 for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice in Barnet through hosting two coffee mornings.
Rebekah Severn, Head of Philanthropy at the Hospice visited Mercers’ House in October where the charity was presented with the cheque. Noah’s Ark is a purpose-built children’s hospice that is set in a 7.5 acre nature reserve in North London and it is rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission. The Hospice helps babies, children and young people who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and their families make the most of every day.
Rebekah talked to residents about the impact the Hospice makes, annually supporting over 1,300 people through its comprehensive range of services, from specialist care and nursing to family activities and end-of-life care.
