We were delighted to host grantees and our learning partner Causeway Education for our annual Transitions Special Initiative Learning Symposium at Mercers’ Hall on 18 November 2025.
Our Transition Special Initiative supports young people in secondary education facing disadvantage and barriers that hinder successful transition to the next stage of their lives.
The symposium brought together our third cohort of grantee organisations and celebrated the end of Phase 1 of our Transitions Special Initiative. Organisations sharing their learning as well as insights and recommendations for the wider sector included Blueprint for All, Envision, In2ScienceUK, Making the Leap, Power2, Street League and XLP.
Throughout the day panels shared insights on the importance of building strong, positive relationships with young people, sustaining transitions and approaches to youth voice in initiatives.
Attendees were schools, charities and grantmakers working with young people preparing to leave school.
A further thank you to Sam Holmes and Alix Robertson from Causeway Education who facilitated the Learning Symposium.
